  • Ramana-raoDr GV Ramana Rao has completed his MBBS and MD (Community Medicine)  from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. He also possesses postgraduate diplomas in Pubic Health and Geriatric Medicine.

    Dr Ramana Rao is working as an Executive Partner, heading the Emergency Medicine Learning Centre (EMLC), and Research divisions at GVK EMRI.  He is in-charge of global life supports skills certification training programmes of BLS, ACLS, and ITLS and also at GVK EMRI. Dr Rao is the Chief Editor of Indian Emergency Journal. He has been invited by the Government of India and WHO to be a member of the committee to develop national guidelines for pre-hospital trauma care in India. He is a member of the National Ambulance Code.

    Dr Rao is the author of a chapter on Pre-hospital care in India’s first text of Emergency Medicine. He is interested in training and research activities in EMS and management of public health programmes.
