    Details of Programme /Project/Initiative:

    Brief Description:

    Over 60 years of post Independence Agriculture sector remained backbone of India’s major population. Continuous efforts have been made in this sector to increase the production and productivity. Inspite of that the growth rate of this sector remained below 2%. National Mission on Micro Irrigation has been launched as a Centrally Sponsored mission mode project by Department of Agriculture, to promote the use of modern irrigation methods like drip and sprinkler irrigation for efficient use of surface as well as ground water resources. The scheme aims at the increasing the area coverage under efficient methods of irrigation for enhancing the productivity of all horticulture crops, medicinal plants and a few plantation crops. A committee at national level coordinates and monitors the overall activities of the MI scheme and approve the Action plans. A state level committee ensures smooth implementation of MI scheme in all the districts of the state. A district level committee reviews the physical and financial progress of MI scheme implementation. The MI scheme is implemented by an Implementing Agency (IA) identified by the state government at the district level to whom funds

    Why was the project started:

    Provide online interface for the Citizens/Farmers/BuisnessHouses/Government an online workflow

    Objective:

    1. Provide all backoffice activities of the department, online and assist the implementation agencies in implementation process. 2. Facilitate Management to track the critical issue of successful implementation by providing 100 % visibility and control over the implementation process. 3. Provide online interface for the Citizens/Farmers to query the system, and achieve 100 % transparency.

    Target Group: Citizens/Farmers/BuisnessHouses/Government

    Geographical Reach within India: Implementation locations : 35 district, 90 subdivision, 352 taluka and 885circle offices in Maharashtra.

    Geographical Reach outside India: e Thibak is an online application.
